YOU MUST BE ON WINDOWS PC TO BE ABLE TO PLAY VRCHAT.

ALTERNATIVELY, IF YOU HAVE A VR HEADSET, QUEST, RIFT OR VIVEPORT, YOU CAN JOIN IN TOO.

INSTALL STEAM
  • Visit this link to install VRChat via Steam:
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/438100/VRChat/
  • Click the ‘Install Steam’ button on top and allow the Steam installer to download.

  • Once downloaded, click 'run/open' and follow the instructions to install the Steam client onto your computer.

  • Select a language and click ‘Next’.
  • Choose Install Location and click ‘Install’.
  • Once the setup is completed, check ‘Run Steam’ and click ‘Finish’.
     
  • Please wait for Steam to update to its latest version.
  • When the Steam client starts, you will be prompted to log in or create a Steam account.
  • Go to the ‘Create a Steam Account’ section on this page for the steps to create a Steam account.
  • If you have a Steam account, all you need to do is log in and go to the ‘Play VRChat’ section on this page for the steps to play VRChat.

CREATE A STEAM ACCOUNT
  1. Run the Steam client from your Windows Start Menu then click the ‘CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT…’ button to start the New Steam Account wizard.
  2. Enter an email address, Steam will require this to be an email address that isn't already associated with a Steam account - if your email is associated with an existing Steam account you can cancel the new account creation and use ‘RETRIEVE A LOST ACCOUNT’ button on the Steam Login dialog to regain access to the existing account. After entering your email address, click the ‘Continue’ button.
  3. Verify your email address by clicking on ‘VERIFY MY EMAIL ADDRESS’.
  4. Check your registered email address.
  5. Your email address is verified once you see this on your screen.
  6. Now you can proceed to create a Steam account. Choose an account name, Steam will tell you if the name you enter is already used and ask you to enter a different account name. Then, choose a good strong password and enter into the 'Password' and ‘Confirm Password' boxes then click on ‘Done’ button.
  7. Click ‘Continue’.
  8. Now enter your new ‘Account Name’ and ‘Password’, the click ‘LOGIN’ button.
  9. Some computer requires this ‘Computer Authorization’ step. Click ‘NEXT>’.
  10. Follow the instruction below and click ‘NEXT>’.
  11. Click ‘Finish’.

PLAY VRCHAT
  • After Steam is installed on your computer, go back to this page https://store.steampowered.com/app/438100/VRChat/. Scroll down and click the ‘Play Game’ button. This will prompt you to install VRChat via Steam.
  • Or go to the ‘LIBRARY’ tab on Steam and click the ‘FREE TO PLAY GAMES’ button.
  • Search for ‘vrchat’ and you will see ‘VRChat’ on the search result as below. Click on the popup.
  • Click ‘Play Game’ button.
  • Install VRChat by clicking ‘NEXT>’.
  • Click ‘I AGREE’.
  • Click the ‘FINISH’ button.
  • Once the installation is completed, you will be able to find VRChat in your LIBRARY tab. Click the ‘PLAY’ button to launch VRChat.
  • Select ‘Launch in Desktop (Non-VR) mode’ on the popup below.
  • After downloading and installing VRChat, the first time you load it up you’ll be asked to log in. Please choose to log in with your Steam account.
  • Verify your date of birth and click ‘Continue’.
  • Enter date of birth again and click ‘Update’.
  • Click ‘Continue’.
  • Click ‘Agree’.
  • Wait for VRChat to download data. Read the tip, it might be useful.
  • Click ‘Go!’.
  • Input Captcha in the ‘Enter code…’ box then click the ‘OK’ button.
  • Once you’re in VRChat, walk around for a bit.
  • Click ‘ESC’ button on your keyboard to open this panel. Exit VRChat by clicking the [x] or turn_off icon on the window.
  • You will see this popup prompt, then click ‘Proceed’.
  • Click ‘Quit’.

PLURITOPIA WORLD ON VRCHAT
  • After you successfully launch VRChat via Steam, click here (https://cloudstudios.pluritopia.com) or copy and paste the link in your browser to enter Pluritopia world in VRChat. The link will direct you to a page as shown below. Click on the 'LAUNCH WORLD' button.
  • Click ‘Open Launch’.
  • Wait for VRChat to load.
  • Click ‘Go!’.
  • Now you are inside the Pluritopia Cloud Studios.
  • Visit this link to install VRChat via Steam:
